About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team at Sandstone Motel & Lounge and Sandstone Gas Plus as a Kitchen Helper. This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Restock condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for service.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and clean and sanitize kitchen equipment.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
