About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team at Sandstone Motel & Lounge and Sandstone Gas Plus. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Load buspans and trays, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for service.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and clean and sanitize kitchen equipment.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, and you will be required to stand for extended periods. You must be able to work under pressure and maintain a client-focused attitude.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a rural area.
  • Reliability, client focus, and team player skills required.
Work Terms

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
