About the Role

CIMA+ is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager/Engineer to join our Energy team specializing in hydropower and dam engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating major projects related to dams and hydroelectric facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Act as a project manager or multidisciplinary coordinator for major projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Design Supervision: Supervise the design of hydraulic structures and works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Technical Coordination: Participate in the management and technical coordination of major projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Proposal Preparation: Participate in the preparation of proposals, developing and presenting project concepts to clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Technical Expertise: Master technical solutions and ensure their adequacy with clients' needs, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Project Planning: Plan project stages, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with the schedule, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Quality Control: Ensure quality control of project practices, verifying the work of other specialized engineers and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and supervise the work of engineers, technicians, and draftspersons involved in the projects, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: University Degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: More than ten (10) years of experience in the field of hydroelectricity/hydropower and dams.
  • Certifications: Member of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Language: Bilingual proficiency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
