Rink Attendant

Job Title: Rink Attendant - Harbourfront Centre

Job Summary: We are seeking a Rink Attendant to join our team at Harbourfront Centre. As a Rink Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable skating environment for our visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Greet and engage with visitors in a courteous manner
* Maintain vigilance of the rink and skaters' activity
* Educate visitors about rink rules and policies
* Provide safe skating tips and information
* Keep the flow of skaters moving in a safe and orderly fashion
* Maintain the ice surface free of debris or obstacles
* Report ice conditions to rental staff and ice maintenance crew
* Respond to injury or first aid situations
* Set up and take down signage associated with rink operations
* Perform snow removal and salting of rubber matting

Requirements:

* Good skating abilities
* Previous rink or skating work experience is desirable
* Ability to be attentive and focused on area goings-on
* Ability to engage with the public in a pleasant and service-oriented manner
* Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
* First aid/CPR knowledge is considered valuable
* Reliability, punctuality, and a positive demeanor are essential traits
* Must enjoy working outdoors
* Role requires extensive periods of standing
* Availability to work a flexible schedule
