Job Title: Merchant - Category Manager

Job Summary:

The Merchant - Category Manager will be responsible for managing the liquor category within the Kitchen Prep & Tabletop portfolio. This includes analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to improve sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and implement category plans to drive sales and profitability
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of category plans
  • Conduct post-mortem reviews of category performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and terms
  • Manage promotional pricing and execution
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and internal teams
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business or marketing
  • 1-3 years of experience in a merchandising or category management role
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
