About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing optimal nutritional care to patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for direct patient care, nutrition screening, diet modifications, and patient education.
You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Clinical Dietitians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Provide individualized nutritional support to patients, taking into account their specific needs and preferences.
- Nutrition Screening: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized plans.
- Diet Modifications: Collaborate with patients and healthcare teams to develop and implement effective diet modification plans.
- Patient Education: Deliver educational programs and materials to patients and families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
- Education: Successful completion of a recognized Dietetic Technician program (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Certification/Licensure/Registration: Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is recommended.
- Skills: Preference will be given to candidates who possess a basic knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic nutrition interventions, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous paid time off policy.
