Job Description

The Project Director Quality plays a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are executed with the highest level of quality and compliance. Reporting to the DNNP-SMR Project Director and functionally to the Candu Energy Inc. Vice-President Quality, this position is responsible for setting the overall direction for Project Quality and ensuring that the project organization is fully supported from a Quality standpoint.

About the Role

This role will be based in Pickering, ON, and involves collaborating with cross-functional project teams and project partners to develop and update processes. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 10-15 years of practical working experience in a relevant quality field, including supervisory roles.

Responsibilities
  • Document Project QAM applicable to SMR scope and complaint with requirements of the partner's certified programs in place.
  • Assist the project team in ensuring satisfactory performance regarding the Project Quality Objectives.
  • Represent the project team on matters pertaining quality assurance aspects;
  • Ensure appropriate planning, development, documentation, and maintenance of the quality assurance programs.
  • Ensure the Project 's processes and products are compliant with applicable quality standards and requirements.
  • Define and manage continuous improvement program applicable to the scope of the project.
  • Growing project internal Quality business by developing and mentoring Quality and Compliance team through performance and workflow management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project team members and project partners to develop and update processes.
  • Identify, record and report quality problems and problems related to the effective implementation of the Project Quality Assurance Program.
  • Manage QA staffing requirements and resource for the Project QA.
  • Provide standardized reporting for the Quality Assurance ensuring that the PLT and all relevant stakeholders have access to valuable data and analytics. Utilize reports to anticipate and resolve issues as required. Verify and confirm implementation and effectiveness of solutions.
  • Provides indoctrination and training of project staff and management as defined by the project Quality Assurance Plan.

Salary

$150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
