About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechatronics Engineer to lead the development of automated chemistry technologies. In this role, you'll design and develop cutting-edge automation solutions, integrating robotics, AI, and laboratory equipment to revolutionize pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop state-of-the-art automation technologies for self-driving labs
  • Optimize robustness of hardware and software modules for chemical synthesis and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into experimental workflows
  • Oversee system integration with existing laboratory equipment
  • Troubleshoot and maintain advanced robotic systems and analytical instruments
  • Prepare technical presentations and contribute to grant proposals and manuscripts
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and environmental management plans
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in automation technologies, preferably in chemistry settings
  • Proficiency in Python, API interfacing, and debugging
  • Expertise with parametric CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
  • Experience with UPLC/HPLC instruments and chromatography data systems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving abilities
