About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned maintenance professional to lead a team in a technically complex industrial setting. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance program, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, and driving performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide direction and support to reports, foster a collaborative working relationship with all employees, and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Maintenance Program Development: Assist in developing and achieving targets in safety, quality, cost, and delivery, and employee engagement.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise and provide leadership in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement, ensuring the Canfor Operating System (COS) is followed.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Ensure the preventative maintenance program is developed and followed, and cost targets are within budget.
  • Work Coordination: Coordinate the planned work of crews to ensure both maintenance and production targets are met and quality standards are adhered to.
  • Performance Management: Maintain high standards of work performance and correct behavior as required.
Requirements
  • Proven Maintenance Experience: Proven maintenance and leadership experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the desire to accept the challenge of working in continually changing internal and external business conditions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of an electronic-based maintenance program would be an asset.
  • Trade Qualification: An interprovincial trade qualification would be considered an asset.
