About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Canfor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our sawmill, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to maintenance teams, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and budgets to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs, and to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance services.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in maintenance leadership, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
