We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at William Osler Health System.

Job Summary:

The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) plays a vital role in providing quality patient-focused care to patients in the Short Stay Unit. As part of the inter-professional healthcare team, the RPN is accountable for safe nursing practice, professional patient-centered care, and infection control measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Safe Nursing Practice: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
  • Infection Control: Implement standard precautions, use personal protective equipment as needed, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Recent post-operative in-patient experience, Seniors gentle persuasive approaches training, or experience with seniors; knowledge of pain management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
  • Education: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, sound knowledge of nursing process, theory, and responsibilities to the nursing profession.
  • Certifications: BCLS, Medication Administration certificate, and Patient Assessment course required for RPNs graduating prior to 2005.

  • Salary: $35.29 - $38.16 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Holidays: Statutory holidays observed, including weekends.
