About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Daybreak. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Kitchen Operations and Maintenance
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen efficiency.
    • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
    • Organize buffets and banquets to meet the needs of our clients and guests.
    • Manage kitchen operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Work collaboratively with our culinary team to achieve our goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Work Environment
    • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift heavy objects.
