About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Intern to join our team at Socotra, Inc. As a Software Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and share knowledge with the team
  • Develop and maintain software applications using various programming languages and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of software features and enhancements
  • Work closely with the testing team to ensure thorough testing and validation of software applications
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a university in Canada, with a graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026
  • Available to work in Toronto during Summer 2025
  • Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment
  • Contributions to open-source projects
  • Experience working with databases
