Industrial Mechanic for Machinery Installation and Maintenance

Emterra Environmental is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery in various settings.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position that requires at least 5 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright). The ideal candidate will have expertise in machinery installation, maintenance, repair, and fabrication, including coaching apprentices and troubleshooting irregularities.
The work environment may be noisy, with exposure to odors, confined spaces, and dusty conditions. However, this role offers a wide range of challenges and opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities- Coach and instruct apprentices in various aspects of industrial mechanics, including safety procedures and best practices.
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery, using your skills and expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup, using your skills in machining tools and fabrication techniques.
- Estimate costs and materials needed for projects, ensuring that budgets are managed effectively and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, scheduling regular checks and maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Operate machining tools to fabricate parts, working accurately and safely to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Install machinery and equipment, following blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation and safe operation.
