About the Role

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for leading our organization in achieving its mission and strategic objectives. This includes managing all personnel and resources, ensuring effective delivery of our service, and enhancing our organization's image in the community.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Board of Directors to fulfill the organization's mission and strategic plan
  • Manage all personnel and resources to ensure effective delivery of our service
  • Enhance the organization's image by being active and visible in the community and working closely with other professional, civic, and private organizations
  • Ensure fiscal integrity and manage financial performance and viability
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for all functions of the organization
  • Review and approve contracts for services
  • Maintain compliance with all pertinent legislation through regular information updates, evaluation, and action as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Five or more years of senior non-profit management experience
  • Experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, with an understanding of their needs
  • High level of strategic thinking and planning
  • Ability to effectively communicate the organization's mission to donors, volunteers, and the community
  • Grant writing and fund-raising experience
  • Solid organizational abilities, including planning, program development, and task facilitation
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making, and reporting
  • Computer experience in programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and an aptitude to learn and use unfamiliar programs
  • Experience in managing a food services facility would be considered an asset
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline would be considered an asset
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset
Working Conditions

Flexibility in working hours is required, as some work will happen outside traditional office hours and the standard work week.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
