Job Title: Apprentice - Mechanical Design Engineer

Inviro Engineered Systems Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice - Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual to assist our experienced design engineers in the development of mechanical systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings. As an Apprentice - Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from design and documentation to shop drawing reviews and client meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Documentation: Assist in the preparation of design and documentation, including load calculations, schematics, and equipment selection.
  2. Contract Documents: Prepare contract documents, including specifications, and ensure they meet the required standards.
  3. Shop Drawing Reviews: Evaluate shop drawings and ensure they meet the design specifications.
  4. Client Meetings: Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants to discuss project reports and findings.
  5. Problem-Solving: Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
  6. Technical Reports: Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches to support design decisions.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Professional Designation: Professional Engineering Designation in Quebec (ing.)
  3. Experience: 7+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings.
  4. Skills: Strong background knowledge in Building Design with an emphasis on mechanical systems (HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection).
  5. LEED Accreditation: Familiarity with the LEED accreditation process is an asset.
