About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Technical Animator, with a proven track record in collaborating with peers to develop and maintain gameplay animation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our animation systems in UE5 to develop and support workflows that empower animators to achieve our animation quality goals, while also achieving our gameplay responsiveness and behavioral goals.
  • Collaborate with peers in the design and implementation of animation state machines, behaviors, and runtime solutions, in a manner that is consistent with studio best practices.
  • Problem solve in-game animation implementation issues.
  • Support the animation team with any technical animation issues they may have.
  • Look for opportunities to improve our animation pipeline and provide solutions for technical animation efficiencies and issues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in AAA video game development, working with real-time animation systems.
  • Real-time engine experience, ideally in Unreal creating animation blueprints.
  • Experience with Python is a benefit.
  • To be a self-motivated, creative problem solver, with great communication skills.
