About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of our care team, responsible for coordinating care delivery and ensuring the highest level of resident-centered care. This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess residents' needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Liaise with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
  • Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and psychological conditions
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and care plan reviews
  • Support administrative requirements, including admissions and confidentiality
  • Provide coaching and direction to care staff as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program and current licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification
  • Successful annual Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) competency testing
  • Previous experience in long term care an asset
  • Collaborative and team working skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Computer skills, including basic navigation of Word, Excel, and Outlook
