About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medicine Specialist to join our team at SickKids. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting medical research, studying diseases, and providing expert consultation to other physicians.

Job Description
  • This is a permanent position requiring 35 hours of work per week.
  • The successful candidate will have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods.
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases.
  • Act as consultants to other physicians, ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
