We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Emergency department at Mackenzie & District Hospital.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of client–centered care
- Development of specialized skills, knowledge, attitudes, and judgement required to provide safe, competent, and individualized care to the emergency patient
- Participation in the Northern Health Regional Emergency Department Education Program (REDEP) to prepare registered nurses to provide safe and competent emergency nursing care
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Advanced preparation in an ED clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education & experience
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within three (3) years
