Job Summary:

The Shred-it Route Driver is a critical role within Stericycle, responsible for providing exceptional service to clients while ensuring the safe and secure destruction of confidential documents. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform onsite and offsite document destruction of confidential information
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip checks, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition and all necessary equipment is on board
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize injury risk and equipment damage
  • Comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service
  • Complete and maintain DOT logs when applicable
  • Manage assigned routes, ensuring customers' confidential material is collected and serviced in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handle and respond to customer problems and inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience driving a commercial motor vehicle or box truck
  • Commercial Driver's License (Class DZ) with an excellent driving record
  • Driver's abstract up to date
  • Ability to work in downtown Toronto
