About the Role

The Student Recruiter Advisor is a key member of the Douglas College team, responsible for promoting programs and services at the college by planning, maintaining, and executing student domestic recruitment programs. This includes providing exceptional client-centred service to all stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Promoting and Coordinating Recruitment Strategies:
    • Design and deliver presentations with a strategic marketing approach to various audiences.
    • Provide information on post-secondary programs, admission requirements, and student services.
    • Establish vital connections with schools, government agencies, and community groups.
  2. Supervising Student Assistants:
    • Identify, hire, and train Student Assistants and Co-op Students.
    • Coordinate scheduling, daily operations, and performance evaluations.
  3. Supporting Student Ambassadors:
    • Train, coordinate, and supervise Student Ambassadors.
  4. Other Duties:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Student Recruiter Advisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus two years' work experience.
  • Knowledge of the B.C. post-secondary education system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamics CRM system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to execute student recruiting strategies.
  • Experience in supervising student staff teams.
  • Valid B.C. driver's license and access to a motor vehicle.
