We are seeking a Senior Care Specialist to join our team at Baycrest Hospital.


About the Role:

The Inpatient Behavioural Neurology Unit on 4 West is a short-stay secure inpatient unit for adults with neurological compromises. Our interdisciplinary service focuses on diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of complex neurological diseases and associated behavioral symptoms. We aim to enhance the wellbeing of our clients and improve their quality of life.



  • Supports patients' physical and personal care needs, including hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Encourages patients' independence, dignity, social, emotional, and cultural wellbeing.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with patients, families, and other care providers.

About You:

We are looking for a qualified candidate with experience in post-acute or acute care settings. A current PSW certificate from a recognized community college or educational institute, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Training in Gentle Persuasive Approach and U-First is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.


A salary of $25.61 - $26.27 per hour, plus benefits, is offered. Vacation entitlement, opportunities to enroll in the HOOPP pension plan, and access to a 24/7 employee assistance program are included.
