Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at our Davisville (Yonge & Davisville) location. As a Baker, you will be responsible for leading our freshness commitment and creating a wide range of artisan bread and delicious treats for our customers to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a small team to bake each morning, following carefully crafted recipes and ensuring high-quality products.
  • Contribute to a great customer experience by maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment.
  • Be responsible for reading production schedules and recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, moulding and shaping dough, and processing everything through the ovens.
Requirements
  • You are an early riser who can work independently or as part of a small team.
  • You have pride in what COBS offers the community and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • You have a great attitude and good organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You share in a commitment to the success of your team, the bakery, and to your own development.
Physical Requirements
  • Continuous standing/walking for all tasks.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg.
  • Frequent turning and reaching.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending.
  • Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters.
  • Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping.
