Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at First Truck Centre in Surrey, BC. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining OEM class 6,7,8 vehicles, trailers, truck mounted cranes, and Hi-Rail equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department

Requirements

  • Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) Journeyman Certificate (or Red Seal)
  • Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus
