Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Penn-truss Mfg. Inc. as a key member of our transportation department. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination, transporting goods across various locations, and ensuring timely delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques to improve overall performance.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck.
  • Install, lash, and secure goods for transportation.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Forklift Operator Certification.
  • Pro-Trucker/Smart Driver (fuel efficiency) Training.
  • Professional Driver Improvement Certificate.
Working Conditions:
  • Remote location.
