Job Description

Job Title: French Immersion Teacher

Job Summary:

School District #48 (Sea to Sky) is seeking a qualified French Immersion Teacher to join our team. As a French Immersion Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching French language and culture to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French language and culture to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices

Requirements:

  • Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
  • University training or equivalent
  • Successful teaching experience
  • Training and experience in French Immersion
  • Bilingualism
  • Familiarity with French Immersion language instruction and the BC Curriculum, Student Performance Standards, and the BC Early Learning framework

Salary Range: $308.29 per day to $472.91 per day, based on category as assigned by the Teachers' Qualification Service (TQS) and previous teaching experience.
