Forensic Pathologist Opportunity

About Our Organization:

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service, a part of the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, is responsible for investigating sudden, unexpected, and unnatural deaths to improve health, safety, and quality of life in Saskatchewan.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Forensic Pathologist to work four to five days a week in Regina, Saskatchewan. This role involves conducting examinations and reports independently in a hospital-based pathology centre, with an estimated 200-250 annual cases.

  • Provide forensic expertise in death investigations.

Requirements:

To be successful, you will need:

  • A medical degree from a recognized university.
  • Licensure eligibility with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
  • Specialty certification in anatomical or general pathology, including formal training in Forensic Pathology.
  • Certification in Forensic Pathology through a national examination.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The hourly rate can be calculated based on a 4-5 day workweek.
