About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Rendering Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our rendering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge rendering technologies to enhance the visual quality of our games.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance rendering features, engine components, and tools to support the creation of visually stunning games.
  • Research and implement advanced rendering techniques to stay ahead of the curve in the industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reusable and flexible rendering technologies that meet the needs of our game development teams.
  • Develop and maintain technical design specifications to ensure consistency and quality in our rendering solutions.
  • Design, implement, test, and debug code, pipelines, and other rendering-related sub-components and packages to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest hardware and software advancements in the rendering domain to ensure our solutions remain competitive.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on rendering and graphics.
  • 3+ years of experience working on or creating real-time rendering engines, with a deep understanding of rendering pipelines and techniques.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing rendering techniques and white papers, with a strong focus on innovation and experimentation.
  • 3+ years of experience with modern graphics APIs such as DirectX12, Vulkan, or Metal, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • 1+ years of experience with PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, with a strong understanding of their hardware and software capabilities.
  • 1+ years of experience with graphics performance analysis, optimization, and associated tools such as PIX, RenderDoc, Razor, with a strong focus on identifying and resolving performance issues.
  • 1+ years of experience with art and content pipelines and workflows, with a strong understanding of the importance of collaboration and communication in a game development team.
  • 1+ years of experience investigating and optimizing low-level game engine code on multiple platforms, with a strong focus on debugging and multi-threading skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide clear, concise feedback to colleagues.
  • A strong desire to improve visual quality and work closely with art and design teams to achieve this goal.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and advancements in computer graphics, with a strong focus on innovation and experimentation.
