About the Role

At Michael Peterman, we are seeking a reliable and caring Family Support Worker to provide high-quality childcare services in the comfort of our clients' homes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide temporary childcare for families with infants and children, promoting a safe and healthy environment;
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized living space;
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children under your care;
  • Assist with child supervision during outings and activities, ensuring their emotional well-being and safety;
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children according to their individual needs;
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents;
  • Organize games and activities to promote social development and learning;
  • Maintain accurate records of children's routines, feeding schedules, and any notable events;
  • Cook and prepare meals as needed.

Requirements

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate is an asset;
  • 1-6 months of experience in childcare or a related field;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, and standing for long periods;
  • Ability to travel with families on trips and outings;
  • Availability to start immediately.
