We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at Father Beauregard School. As an EA, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students' cognitive, communication, physical, and social development
  • Implement teacher-directed programming and work collaboratively with the teaching team
  • Use specialist strategies to achieve required goals and implement behaviour management and educational strategies
  • Communicate effectively with students using positive reinforcements and school-specific behaviour strategies
  • Observe student behaviour and provide high-level structure to facilitate completion of required learning outcomes
  • Work and play at students' physical level of activities and provide support in the use of adaptive and learning technologies
  • Implement the Positive Behaviour Plan and work with students with Autism or complex medical needs
  • Physically handle and transfer students when necessary and provide school-directed indoor and outdoor student supervision
Requirements:
  • Education Assistant Certificate or Diploma
  • May be required to obtain NVCI Level A&B
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching team and implement specialist strategies
  • Effective communication and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work with students with diverse needs and abilities
