Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to residents, adhering to established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and the Health Disciplines Act.
  • Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Clear Criminal Record check.

All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
