Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Maintenance and Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation and Installation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Problem-Solving and Support: Provide timely and effective problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine network backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Network Optimization: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Web Development and Maintenance: Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Search Engine Optimization: Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines to improve online visibility.
  • Customer Support: Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers, providing timely and effective support.
  • Technical Leadership: Supervise technical staff and provide guidance and support to ensure the success of our IT initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
