The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
Job Description
The Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and supervising all structural work, including temporary structures, concrete formwork, and critical lift plans. The successful candidate will work closely with the field team, external engineers, and internal stakeholders to create detailed technical drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities:
- Design and supervise all structural work
- Collaborate with field team, external engineers, and internal stakeholders
- Create detailed technical drawings and schematics
- Conduct quality checks on completed work
- Support projects through the fabrication process or temporary and permanent steel structures
- Provide status and progress reports to customer project team and management
- Interface with client representatives, design engineers, consultants, and other contractors
- Ensure project is constructed in accordance with QA Programs and project quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering program or similar
- P.Eng registration in BC with EGBC is required
- 3-5 years minimum of structural experience, preferably on large infrastructure projects
- Experience on hydroelectric dams would be considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Worksafe BC regulations
- Excellent command of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, etc.
- Bilingualism (French and English) would be considered an asset
