Responsibilities

As an Automotive Refinishing Specialist, your tasks will include:

  • Assessing repair costs based on damage reports
  • Inspecting vehicles post-repair
  • Planning and organizing repair tasks
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Conducting test drives to ensure vehicle performance
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Replacing various components including body parts, doors, and frames
  • Preparing surfaces for painting by filing, grinding, and sanding
  • Applying masking and taping techniques for paint preparation
  • Repairing dents and defects using appropriate tools
  • Removing and replacing damaged panels and components
  • Applying primers and paint to surfaces
  • Repairing or replacing interior elements
  • Fixing damaged windows and sunroofs
  • Mixing paint and ensuring color matching
  • Utilizing soldering equipment and fillers for repairs
  • Straightening frames using specialized equipment
Qualifications

Required certifications include:

  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification
  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Red Seal Endorsement
  • Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification
