Job Title: Automotive Systems Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Systems Specialist to join our team at DRYDEN CHEVROLET BUICK GMC LTD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices

Requirements:

  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence

Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and attention to detail are required for this role.

Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player are essential qualities for this position.
