The project includes the design build, operations, and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment. The scope involves managing the works associated with the program and individual construction projects.

Job Summary:

Bechtel is seeking a Cost Analyst to support cost engineering, cost analysis, and control for the Ontario Line Program. The ideal candidate will have experience managing estimating departments on large infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for providing innovative solutions to cost engineering problems and supporting project organizational and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in preparing cost data and analysis for the elevated guideway and station package.
  • Develops and applies unit rates to quantity takeoffs and developed quantities.
  • Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
  • Coordinates monthly invoices and cost reports.
  • Develops and implements requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
  • Provides financial reporting and trending.
  • Assists in developing specific project codes of accounts and recommends modifications and revisions.
  • Investigates requirements for estimating and/or cost control data.
  • Collects and classifies cost engineering data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management, and +8 years of experience.
  • Experience performing statistical analysis and computer operations, or skilled in understanding technical processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical and financial reports.
  • Knowledge in the use of computers for executing work processes, engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
