Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Cost Estimator to join our team at Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas Canada Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a critical role in preparing estimates and pre-qualification submissions for clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Develop and present pre-qualification submissions to potential clients, showcasing your expertise and skills.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and scope.
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to accurately calculate material needs and costs.
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Maintain an organized internal record-keeping system, tracking progress and documenting important details.
  • Estimate costs and develop financial projections for projects.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in construction cost estimation, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with on-site work environments and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to clients and stakeholders.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
