Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Edo Japan. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Customer Service
    • Supervise and check assembly of trays
    • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
  • Support and Development
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities
    • Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and mature workers
  • Operational Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain records and reports
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week
  • Permanent position
  • English language required
