Job Title: Human Resources Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team at I. G. MACHINE & FIBERS LTD.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for providing support to the HR team in various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop strategies to meet them.
  • Prepare and post job notices and advertisements, and coordinate the recruitment process.
  • Screen and select candidates, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Review candidate inventories and contact potential applicants to arrange interviews.
  • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions, and co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates.
  • Notify applicants of results of the selection process and prepare job offers.
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, and negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process.
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training.
  • Recruit and hire staff.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions:
  • Work will be performed in a remote location.
  • Relocation costs will not be covered by the employer.
