Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at CB Canada in Saskatoon. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of buses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on buses, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with buses, including engine and transmission problems.
  • Work with shop management to prioritize and schedule repairs, ensuring that buses are back on the road as quickly as possible.
  • Perform semi-annual government inspections on buses to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation associated with mechanical repairs, including repair orders and maintenance records.
  • Supervise and train apprentice mechanics to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.

Requirements

  • Journeyman ticket in Heavy Duty Mechanics.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a heavy duty mechanic role.
  • Valid driver's license (Class 2 or 3 ideal).
  • Safety inspection certification through SGI desired.
  • Experience working with Prevost coaches considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
