About the Role:

The Senior External Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing an external communications plan to achieve strategic and operational objectives. This includes proposing innovative solutions to position the company and its executives in the media, supporting public relations efforts, and maintaining a media watch on the industry and company positioning.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, with minimum 10 years of experience in communications, including at least 5 years as a manager. Fluency in French and English is essential, with both written and spoken proficiency.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an external communications plan to achieve strategic and operational objectives
  • Propose innovative solutions to position the company and its executives in the media
  • Support public relations efforts, including press release writing and media relations
  • Maintain a media watch on the industry and company positioning
  • Plan and manage media relations, write press releases, and work with PR agencies
  • Work closely with internal marketing and communications departments to create and update content related to strategic initiatives
  • Manage a team of brand and communications specialists and a graphic designer
Requirements:
  • University degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, including at least 5 years as a manager
  • Fluency in French and English, with both written and spoken proficiency
  • Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication abilities
Salary:

$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
