About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD (Computer-Assisted Drafting) technician to join our team at IRPINIA KITCHEN'S OTTAWA. As a CAD technician, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Design Development: Develop and prepare design sketches and specifications for construction projects.
  • Estimation and Costing: Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates for projects.
  • Contracting and Tendering: Prepare contracts and tenders for construction projects.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Write technical reports and complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
  • Quality Control: Examine drawings for conformity and errors.
  • Collaboration: Consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements and lead/instruct groups as needed.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, and a team player.
Experience and Education
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
