Job Title: Truck Mechanic

Davidson Contract Services is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Job Summary:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including inspections, adjustments, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, working with supervisors to determine the best course of action.
  • Test and inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Review work orders and complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the art of truck maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
