Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at SAP, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. Our team works closely with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and to develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage automated build, deployment, and testing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize system enhancements.
  • Maintain and improve existing cloud-based systems for high availability and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Monitor system logs and metrics to identify trends and areas for optimization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with expertise in automation and DevOps.
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and security.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Infrastructure software tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
  • Building containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Building software that must scale to thousands of users concurrently.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Experience working with databases, automation frameworks, application installation/deployment, and security configuration management tools.
