About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sewing Machine Operations Supervisor to join our team at Simply Sofaworks & More Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our sewing department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless production and meet deadlines.
  • Process Improvement: Establish methods to meet work schedules and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare production and other reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Staff Management: Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of workers, and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
  • Materials and Equipment: Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Maintenance and Setup: Set up machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and excellent oral communication skills.
  • Work Conditions: 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
Language and Work Environment
