About the Role


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Operations Coordinator to join our team at BC Cancer in Vancouver. As a member of our operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics and programs.



Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient bookings and appointments, as well as diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Process clinician orders by completing and forwarding requisitions for tests or services, using electronic health record systems
  • Organize and coordinate multiple appointments for patients, communicating with them and other healthcare providers as needed
  • Gather and document patient information to facilitate efficient patient flow
  • Provide receptionist duties, including greeting and registering patients, answering phone calls and responding to inquiries


Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma and completion of a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program, plus one year of recent related experience
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse patient populations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including electronic health records
