Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Nottingham Child Care. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our childcare centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Storytelling, leading activities, and supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Assisting early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
  • Preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors and discussing progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) or child development worker (ECE level 2) certification
  • Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, punctuality, dependability, flexibility, and team player
