Job Title: Code Club Volunteer Program Manager

Join Digital Moment, a Montreal-based charity, as we seek a bilingual Code Club Volunteer Program Manager to drive the growth and success of our Canadian expansion. This role is instrumental in designing systems to support volunteers and foster growth through partnership-building and social media.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners, including schools, libraries, and universities, to promote Code Clubs and their strategic goals.
  • Build a pipeline of venues to support quarterly growth goals for program expansion.
  • Collaborate with venue program teams to establish strong relationships and showcase the value of Code Clubs.
  • Engage with the educator community at school board levels to develop relationships with coding and IT champions for junior elementary grades.
  • Develop, present, and send information packages to prospective partners for growth.
  • Assess data regularly to inform leadership decisions on partnerships and expansion efforts.
  • Engage with the international Code Club community to learn best practices and apply them to the Canadian context.
Online Platform Maintenance:
  • Configure the volunteer management platform for optimal performance, including user groups, registration forms, events, and venue contact access.
  • Oversee all supporting integrations.
  • Evaluate the quality of the Volunteer Hub process by assessing user experience.
  • Build content, including landing pages, email outreach, and SMS engagements.
  • Keep data up-to-date by regularly moving users through the pipeline or archiving old contacts.
  • Build surveys and polls to engage stakeholder groups.
Digital Media Oversight:
  • Develop a social media calendar and set social posts to deploy on a quarterly basis.
  • Engage stakeholders online with direct messages, answering questions, and comments.
  • Prepare cross-channel messages of gratitude and support for partners and volunteers.
  • Evaluate online engagement to find leads in the educator community.
Volunteer Engagement:
  • Develop recognition mechanisms, including certificates, thank-you cards, social media gratitude posts, and career-ready recommendations.
  • Recruit tech ambassadors who can support the Code Club brand.
  • Design, promote, and implement training and stewardship virtual sessions to engage volunteers in meaningful content.
  • Help establish processes to support a wider volunteer strategy.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field, ideally non-profit management, volunteer management, or business development.
  • Minimum of three years of experience on a team performing growth activities, including business development or partnership-building with diverse community organizations.
  • Experience building volunteer engagement plans, recruiting, and/or working with volunteers.
  • Experience working with post-secondary education communities, ideally in student life, peer helping, student government, or career centers.
  • Social media savvy, with a proven understanding of social media and best practices to develop, manage, and post social content for engagement.
  • Previous experience with survey and poll engagement, including building surveys and deploying polls.
  • Ability to organize and analyze data to inform goal-setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and oral.
  • Available and willing to travel/attend events when required.
  • Strong sense of organization to manage volunteer and venue pipelines in many communities.
  • Experience with VolunteerHub is an asset.
