Job Summary:
Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled Kinesiologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Kinesiologist - Movement Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our clients through movement and exercise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments to identify areas of improvement and develop personalized exercise programs.
- Design and implement graded exercise, work conditioning, and work hardening programs to help clients achieve their goals.
- Conduct biweekly reassessments of client progress through functional testing and record findings in client charts.
- Work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve functional goals, and provide education and support to help them achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Conduct group orientation and education lectures, and provide regular one-on-one education to clients.
- Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge, and ensure return to work plans are made and documented in the client chart.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program.
- 2+ years of experience in a related field, considered an asset.
- Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required.
